Job Vacancy: Anti-Trafficking Project Manager, London

AFRUCA (Africans Unite against Child Abuse), a national charity promoting the rights and welfare of African children in the UK is seeking to hire an Anti-Trafficking Project Manager.

black-womanThe new post holder will manage a range of anti-trafficking services for young people in addition to being the main point of contact for external agencies working with AFRUCA on anti-trafficking matters.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 5 years’ project management experience with strong staff management and supervision skills.

They must have a strong knowledge of child trafficking and exploitation issues in England and some understanding of current UK, EU and international trafficking legislation, protocols, and guidelines.

They must have very good specialist knowledge and understanding of African cultural practices that impact on children. This post will involve some travel between AFRUCA’s two offices in London and Manchester. Ability to speak at least one African language is an advantage.

The post holder must undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to confirm their suitability working with children.

Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 (depending on experience)
Full time position plus 6% pension contribution.
Location: AFRUCA Head Office, London
Contract Type: One-year initial contract
