A host of USA celebrities will grace the Miami GLOBAL CATWALK Fashion, Music & Comedy Events to mark the 2011 World AIDS Day.
USA celebrity comedian, Rick Ross and celebrity stylist Dwight Eubanks, from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” are some of the celebrities who will take part in the events on 2nd and 3rd December 2011 at the Ramada Plaza Marco Polo Beach Resort, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Dwight is the official Patron of POSITIVE RUNWAY.
Special invited guests will include: Comedian, Rick Ross (Rozay); Bianca Golden, from America’s Next Top Model and now star of Tyra Banks’ new reality TV show “MODELSVILLE”; Charles Young, formerly of Dunk Ryders; Miss Bahamas, Monesha Rolle, flying in from the Bahamas; Miss St Maarten, and Trumane Trotman, flying in from St Maarten’s Islands.
The Guest Speaker will be Zoe Bakoko Bakoru, Chicago-based world renowned HIV/AIDS Advocate/Activist.
The Miami event will open on Friday, 2nd December, with a night of laughs with Host Kevin “Damn Fool” Simpson, and featuring Goldiee and Headliner Comedian B-Phlat.
The Fashion Show will take place on Saturday, 3rd December, hosted by Justin “Goldiee” Goldsmith. It will feature music artistes including Shamel-Mello Vibe, F2-House of Hitz, KD aka King Deezy, Killa K, Smokey, and Jizzy Jazz from Hard Time For Life and headliners Esko Sho from Madam Entertainment and Tarvoria from Mizay Entertainment.
Fashion Designers showcasing their designs at the event will include, Mystic Creationz, and Inez with Red Ribbon Models walking the runway including Bianca Goldens; Adelita Diaz, Jazzy Rosario, Von Bryant, Nikita Sierra, Tiffany Agnew and Maria. Other stars to feature are Chae Monet and Lashawna Davis, Jada Grizzard, Danielle Niemeyer and Johnny Jeans.
The show will be choreographed by celebrity choreographer, Mitchell Kelly from USA TV show “You think You Can Dance”. DJs will include DJ Hype and special invited DJ SMG from Dallas and TX Enforcer DJ’s
The Miami GLOBAL CATWALK event is part of a worldwide synchronized Music and Fashion Event, organized by POSITIVE RUNWAY: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread.
The event will be simultaneously staged on the same day in different cities and countries around the world including London, Miami, Lagos, British Virgin Islands, Greece, The Bahamas, The Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago and others to commemorate the 2011 World AIDS Day.
It will be a red carpet event combining Fashion, Music, and Comedy. The event will be filmed for worldwide broadcasting and will be graced by dignitaries and VIPs as well as celebrities from Fashion, Music, Film, Television, Sport and other Arts, all sending out a powerful positive message to “Stop the Spread of HIV/AIDS!”
POSITIVE RUNWAY: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread® is a voluntary global HIV/AIDS response campaign that tours the world working with beauty queens, models, fashion designers, and celebrities from film, music, television, sport and other arts as influential advocates in the fight against the spread of HIV/AIDS and other scourges affecting today’s young generation such as child trafficking, sexual responsibility, child abuse, drugs abuse, gun and knife violence, as well as negative peer pressure, among many other vices.
