POSITIVE RUNWAY: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread Event has been selected as an official affiliated event of the XIX International AIDS Conference taking place in Washington DC from 22nd to 27th July 2012.
High level speakers at the Conference will include, US Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton; Former US First Lady Laura Bush; South African Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe; US Senators John Kerry and Lindsey Graham; US House of Representatives Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi; US Congresswoman Barbara Lee; World Bank President Jim Yong Kim; UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé; and The Earth Institute Director, Jeffrey Sachs.
Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, will deliver Plenary Speech on 23rd July.
Some 25,000 scientists, people living with HIV, and other stakeholders are expected to attend the Conference.
GLOBAL CATWALK Fashion & Music Event, will be held at Dirty Martini Lounge, 1223 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington DC 20036, on 25th July 2012, from 9:30 p.m.
The event will be hosted by celebrity stylist, Dwight Eubanks, with actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Legendary Grammy Award Winner, DJ Spinderella.
The Washington DC Global Catwalk Fashion & Music Event is organised by POSITIVE RUNWAY: Global Catwalk to Stop the Spread, which is a global HIV/AIDS response campaign aimed at bridging the gap in the global efforts to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS.
The campaign fights the spread of HIV/AIDS by using designers and celebrities from Fashion, Film, Music, Television and Sports.
The event will take the format of fashion show featuring POSITIVE RUNWAY’s signature Red Ribbon Models® who will showcase designs by top fashion designers.
