Wynton Marsalis to play five nights at Ronnie Scott’s

Building on a rich and lengthy history with legendary trumpeter Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Serious is delighted to be working with Ronnie Scott’s to welcome his small band back this summer for an extended run at one of the world’s greatest jazz clubs.

Wynton Marsalis is an internationally acclaimed musician, composer, bandleader, educator and a leading advocate of American culture. He has had an enormous impact on jazz over the last 40 years, being one of the first artists to perform and compose across the full jazz spectrum from its New Orleans roots to bebop to modern jazz.

By creating and performing an expansive range of brilliant new music for quartets to big bands, chamber music ensembles to symphony orchestras, tap dance to ballet, Marsalis has expanded the vocabulary for jazz and created a vital body of work that places him among the world’s finest musicians and composers.

Marsalis has graced the world’s greatest venues from the Lincoln Centre and Carnegie Hall to London’s Barbican Centre and Royal Albert Hall. The iconic trumpeter is back for what promises to be an exhilarating week of music. Marsalis will perform two shows a night for five nights from 16th August in what looks to be this summer’s hottest ticket.
