Immigration and economic crisis will be discussed at a public meeting in South East London.
The event titled “Fighting austerity-opposing racist scapegoating and myths and lies about Immigration” will be held at Goldsmiths College SE146NW room 150 RHB, on 14th October 2014 from 19:00 to 21:00.
It will be addressed by Zita Holbourne, co-founder of Black Activists Rising Against Cuts (BARAC) and PCS Union NEC, and Michael Burke, Economist, People’s Assembly Against Austerity.
All are invited to come and contribute to this important debate. “Be armed with the facts to combat the lies of UKIP and others who blame the poorest and most oppressed in our society rather than the real culprits: government, bankers and big business,” say the organisers.
The debate has been organised by South East London People’s Assembly, BARAC and LARAG. It is supported by Student Assembly Against Austerity, Stand Up To Racism and Stand Up to UKIP.
