26th January 2015: A Fashion Show Against Female Genital Mutilation will be held in London on 7th February 2015.
The event organised by Global Comfort, will be held a day after the International Day of Zero Tolerance to Female Genital Mutilation which takes place on 6th February every year.
It will feature top African fashion designers, a fashion show, drama and fantastic raffle prizes.
The event will be hosted by Pauline Long, the founder of BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Awards.
Ms Long, who is also the host of Pauline Long Show on BEN Television, is appealing to all her colleagues in entertainment, film, fashion, TV and arts to join her at this big event. “Please use your fame to influence positive change,” she says.
The Fashion Show Against Female Genital Mutilation will be held at St Thomas’ Hospital, Governor’s Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7EH, on 7th February 2015 from 18:30.
