Reggae musicians from the UK, Africa and the Caribbean are uniting to pay tribute to Bob Marley at the closing event of the third Cultural Collage World Music Festival in Manchester.
The Reggae and African Dance Party, which takes place at Manchester’s Dancehouse Theatre on Saturday, 19th May 2012, will feature locally-based reggae and seggae artist, Golty Farabeau, from the Seychelles, and his UK band, Jahmadou.
They will be joined on stage by Gabbidon, fronted by Steel Pulse founder Basil Gabbidon. The event will be supported by Manchester-based, Freedom Masses Sound System DJs on the decks.
Each artist will be playing a set of their own music and then, at the end of the night, all artists will get together to perform some of their favourite Bob Marley songs.
