Learn what Diaspora communities do to address inequalities in London

The Evelyn Oldfield Unit has organised an event to explore what London’s Diaspora communities are doing to address injustice and inequalities in London and overseas.

The event which is part of Refugee Week 2014, will be held at the London Resource Centre, 356 Holloway Rd, London, N7 6PA, from 13:00 to 15:30.

The following organisations will address the event:

Evelyn Oldfield Unit who have been delivering a London volunteering programme for refugees and migrants since 2012.

Reconnect who are piloting a programme to transfer the skills of UK based refugee teachers to South Sudan and Ethiopia.

International Centre for Community Development and how its practice-led research is supporting grassroots development in Africa, Asia and the middle east.

Diaspora Volunteering Alliance and how they can help you to develop or strengthen volunteering programmes in your countries of origin and in the UK, through networking, learning resources and partnership building.
