Ethical fashion label José Hendo will hold a catwalk and panel discussion in London on 13th September 2014.
The event will focus on ethical designer José Hendo’s commitment to her R3 campaign aimed at spreading the word and work on sustainability in the fashion industry.
Members of the panel will include: Yousuf Almingi, proprietor of Salabed; representatives from the Ethical Fashion Forum, the Sustainable Center of Fashion and the Sue Ryder charity; Winnie Sseruma, journalist, activist and founder of the BAGCI charity; Jacqueline Shaw, author and founder of Africa Fashion Guide; Edyta Wojcik, head of distribution at Tiande and Ms Hendo.
The R3 collection encompasses the R3 ethos: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. The freedom of re-invention, doubting established criteria, zero-waste, up-cycling, reconstruction, using design techniques that emphasises the sustainable approach to fashion, are strongly encouraged by the R3 collection.
