Afro-Latin Dance Festival takes place in London

The international sell-out Afro-Latin Dance and Music Festival Batuke 2011 makes a return to London for a three day party. There are dance workshops and classes plus club nights to celebrate all that is Luso-African (Portuguese speaking cultures).

Classes and workshops will take place for every level which will include, semba, zouk, kizomba alongside the traditional dances of rebita, marrabenta and coladera. The festival will feature music and dances from Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde, the West Indies, Brazil and Europe.

It will take place on from 9th to 11th September 2011. An opening party will be held on the first night. A show followed by a party will be held on Saturday night then as the finale, a beach party will be held on Sunday to close the celebrations.

The workshops and classes will take place at the Urdang Academy. Club nights will be held at Club Colosseum, Conway Hall and Zoo Bar.
