African communities in London will host a conference on Ebola on 5th December 2014.
The conference is organised by Elbow Out Ebola, a newly established, broad based people’s movement initiated by the UK based, Black Activist Against the Cuts (BARAC) movement and supported by numerous African organisations.
Titled the “Elbow Out Ebola Conference”, it will feature keynote speakers from Embassies, High Commissions, Consulates, Ebola Task Force Groups, specialist doctors, Public Health Specialists and grass roots organisations joining forces with the Diaspora to share knowledge and experiences in the fight against Ebola.
Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and Nigeria are some of the conference whose delegates have confirmed presence at the conference.
Participants will be requested to make a donation of at least £3 at the door to be handed over to Melqosh Mission International project for amputees and Ebola orphans.
The “Elbow Out Ebola Conference” will be held at the Zanzibar, 291 Kirkdale, Sydenham, SE26 4QD London, on Friday 5th December 2014 from 09:00 to 17:00.
