Why the “Human Zoo” exhibition at the Barbican is unnecessary – Rozan Ahmed

Boycott the human zooPressure keeps mounting on the London’s Barbican Art Centre to withdraw what many have termed a “Human Zoo” exhibition.

The centre plans to host the “Exhibit B” by South African artist Brett Bailey from 23rd to 27th September 2014.

In the following video Culturalist and Social Commentator Rozan Ahmed tells @London_360 why she is against the exhibition. She says: “The closest I’ll get to that exhibition is standing outside, encouraging people not to go.”

She says she feels the exhibition “is completely unnecessary”, adding that “there are so many ways to tell the story of slavery.
