Police seek help in tracing missing 15-year-old girl from Durham

Police have renewed an appeal to help trace a 15-year-old girl who has been missing since 27th December 2013.

Cherise Barfoot was last been seen at her address in Cockfield, near Bishop Auckland, Durham.

Officers believe she may be in the London region and in particular, the Haringey and Edmonton areas.

Cherise also has family links to the Bromley and Chessington (Surrey) areas and has previously resided in Meopham, Kent and Nottingham.

She is described as a light-skinned black girl, with shoulder-length blonde hair, of slim build and approximately 5ft 2ins tall.

Cherise was last seen wearing a black padded-jacket with a fur hood, grey tracksuit bottoms and black Nike trainers with a purple tick logo.

PC Richard Teall, from Bromley’s Missing Persons Unit, who is leading the investigation said: “We’d appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen Cherise or knows where she is to get in touch as soon as possible.”

He also sent a message to the missing girl. “Cherise, if you are reading this, then please get in touch with police, Social Services or the Coram Voice charity who’ll be able to assist you and give you the advice you need. Your family are extremely concerned for you and we just want to make sure that you are safe and well.”
