Pauline Long, multi-award winning entrepreneur, TV presenter, fashion designer and philanthropist has received the Most Inspirational Woman Award.
Ms. Long was honoured alongside the first black Chelsea footballer Paul K Canoville who picked up the Most Inspirational Male Award.
The BEFFTA (Black Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) Awards founder and motivational speaker was honoured for her contribution to the African and Caribbean community, philanthropic work and her contribution by way of mentoring the youth.
The awards ceremony which attracted high profile guests and several youth was organised by Cams Pro.
In her acceptance speech Ms. Long said: “I’m so humbled and deeply honoured to be celebrated amongst special people, I find it hard to accept the award simply because I’m always the one on the other side, celebrating and honouring people. So it hasn’t sunk in yet. Thank you so much, thank you Cams Pro and the team and thanks to everyone who has always walked with me. To the young ones, my phone, Facebook, my Twitter is accessible. I do not put any barriers, I mentor many but I welcome more.”
The mother of two who recently launched her daytime TV show on SKY 182 called The Pauline Long Show urged the African and Caribbean community to offer much needed support to community projects and events.
