Maxie Hayles shortlisted for Barclays Campaigner of the Year Award

Maxie Hayles, Chair of Black Activists Rising Against Cuts (BARAC) Birmingham and long-standing anti-racist campaigner has been shortlisted for the Barclays Campaigner of the Year Award within the European Diversity Awards 2013.

The European Diversity Awards recognise and celebrate organisations and individuals that have shown innovation, creativity and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion during 2013.

The awards recognise excellence in the areas of gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, race, culture and religion across Europe.

The European Diversity Awards will take place at the Natural History Museum in London on Thursday 26th September 2013.
