Bike Ride Fundraiser to raise funds for National Association Of Black Supplementary Schools in UK

A Hyde Park Bike Ride Fundraiser will be held on Sunday 27th October 2013 to raise funds for the National Association Of Black Supplementary Schools in the UK (NABSS).

Nia Imara founded the NABSS in March 2007 after seeing how successful his children were in the mainstream schools after attending a Black Supplementary School in 2001.

Nia didn’t understand why so many Black parents complained a lot but didn’t utilise the services provided by Black Supplementary schools.

When Nia asked parents why they didn’t send their children to Black Supplementary Schools, many said that they could not find any.

This made Nia decide to set up a national directory and form the National Association of Black Supplementary Schools to try and highlight the services available to parents, children and schools.

The NABSS Hyde Park Bike Ride Fundraiser will be held on 27th October 2013 at 11am, at the Hyde Park. One circuit of the Hyde Park cycle track is 5.1 miles or 8.5 kilometres. For further information, visit the event’s link.
