AFRUCA recruiting Children’s Champions

Africans Unite Against Child Abuse (AFRUCA) is recruiting 100 Children’s Champions.

AFRUCA is the premier charity promoting the rights and welfare of African children in the UK.

Research has revealed that too many Black children are entering the child protection system and ending up in care.

To address the problem, AFRUCA is recruiting Children’s Champions who will agree to undergo a two day intensive training in child protection.

Each Child Champion will be committed to training one group of 25 people in their community to gain new skills and understanding around child protection so that children will be safeguarded from abuse, harm and exploitation.

Child Champion is a volunteer position. No salary will be paid but travel costs will be reimbursed. Children’s Champions will work in London and South of England.
